Dr Caoimhe Ryan completed her PhD in Social Psychology at the University of St Andrews. She holds an MSc in Social and Cultural Psychology from the London School of Economics (LSE) and a BA in Psychology from University College Dublin (UCD). She has held research and teaching posts at universities across Scotland including University of Dundee, University of St Andrews, and University of Glasgow.

Caoimhe is module leader for Social Psychology (commencing 2021/22). She also teaches on the Political and Cultural Psychology module and modules in Research Methods. Her research interests include the social psychological factors affecting the welling of vulnerable and minority groups. Her work includes research on experiences of identity misrecognition amongst minorities in Europe, incorporating patient perspectives in the context of a largescale RCT, and the role of identity in anti-deportation campaigns. She is a member of the Child and Adolescent Health Research Group (CAHRG).
