Claire Bereziat is a lecturer for the MSc International Tourism and Events Management and the BA(Hons) International Tourism and Events Management programmes. Claire Bereziat teaches in the field of tourism, covering all aspects of tourism management from operations to sustainable destination development and marketing, at both postgraduate and undergraduate level.
Claire was appointed as the Mobility Lead for the Glasgow School of Business and Society in December 2021. She is responsible for student exchange within the School for both incoming and outgoing students, as well as developing internationalization of and in the curriculum opportunities.
Claire will be submitting her thesis titled “An exploration of co-creation in teaching and learning in Higher Education institutions in Scotland” in 2024. Her research interests include: sustainable tourism, visitor attractions, co-creation and internationalization of the curriculum.
Claire has worked in the tourism industry for 15 years, as a researcher and consultant at the Moffat Centre. Her consultancy expertise informs her approach to learning and teaching: she integrates client-based problem-solving projects, role play, educational simulations other experiential learning activities within her modules to guide students to meet industry expectations and standards.
Claire is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy which recognises her experience and leadership in teaching and learning.
