Dr Claire Crossan is a researcher and lecturer in the field of virology. Claire studied virology as an undergraduate at the University of Glasgow and has remained in this field, moving to Glasgow Caledonian University in 2007.
Her research interests include viral zoonosis, emerging viral pathogens, viral reactivation in the immune-suppressed host and the development of novel anti-virals, such as microRNAs.
In addition to undertaking grant-funded research in the area of xenotransplantation, hepatitis E and viral-induced oncogenesis, she has also carried out research on behalf of several companies including; NeedleSmart Ltd, Xenothera, and MilliporeSigma.
