Colin works as an academic development tutor (ADT) in the Learning Development Centre within the Glasgow School for Business and Society (GSBS), supporting students across the school at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels to develop their academic writing and study skills.
He previously spent eight years as an ADT with GCU's Institute for University to Business Education (IU2B), primarily teaching and supporting UK and transnational work-based learners studying railway operations management programmes.
Prior to joining Glasgow Caledonian in 2017, he worked in roles supporting international students studying university pathways programmes as well as teaching EFL, ESOL, EAP, IELTS and ESP in Japan, Spain, Singapore and the UK.
His research interests include academic writing practices, academic literacies, transitioning to university-level study, English for academic and specific purposes and work based transnational education.
