David is a Lecturer in Human Resource Management. David’s current roles within the school involve leading the Department of People and Organisations HR Graduate Apprenticeship remit.
He is also the module leader for MSc Leading Responsible Change and deputises the leadership for the school-wide postgraduate module Developing Leadership for the Common Good.
Having joined GCU in 2019, David has taught on a number of undergraduate and postgraduate modules. David’s particular areas of focus for teaching are in the areas of organisational change, culture, responsible leadership and organisational development.
In addition to teaching, David is currently working with the Scottish Government providing academic/professional advice for organisational Change.
Prior to entering academia, David held several roles within generalist HRM, organisational change/development and employee relations within both the public and private sectors.
David is a Chartered Member of the CIPD, an Associate member of the CMI and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. David is also a Glasgow Caledonian alumnus having obtained both his undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications at Glasgow Caledonian University.
