I graduated from the University of Glasgow with an Honours degree in Immunology after which I began a Trainee Biomedical Scientist position in Pathology at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. After completing my training and a PgD in Biomedical Science at Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU), I registered with the Health Professions Council (now the Health and Care Professions Council) as a Biomedical Scientist. I continued studying at GCU and completed my MSc in Biomedical Science. I then progressed to a Specialist Biomedical Scientist in Pathology. Following this, I joined Glasgow Caledonian University as Placement Manager for the BSc (Hons) in Applied Biomedical Science.
