Deborah qualified as a podiatrist in 1997 and graduated with an MSc in Podiatry in 2014 from Glasgow Caledonian University. Deborah joined teaching from an NHS background whereupon her clinical expertise in diabetes, wound care and vascular conditions of the lower limb have been expanded to form her current role as Lecturer in Podiatry (Clinical Academic). Her time is split between undergraduate and post graduate teaching, and as a podiatric clinical specialist. The consolidation of these two roles within one post is the first of its kind for the Department of Podiatry and Radiography and has been forged through a collaborative and strategic partnership between GCU and NHS Lanarkshire.
In 2016 she gained her Diploma of Fellowship of the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine, and is an examiner and ordinary Board Member for the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine’s Members exam and Executive Board.
