Deborah qualified as a registered general nurse in 1998.  Her area of expertise is Neurosciences for which she gained a postgraduate degree in Neuroscience Nursing in 2002.  As well as neurosciences in general, she has interests in peri-operative practice, organ donation and nurse education.  She has significant experience as a Specialist Nurse for Organ Donation and has recently joined the teaching team at GCU from the Institute of Neurological Sciences theatres where she was employed as a perioperative practitioner.  Deborah completed her MSc in advanced nursing practice with applied education in 2014 and holds a post graduate teaching qualification that is registered with the NMC.
