Emma-Jane specialised in musculoskeletal physiotherapy after graduating from Manchester University in 2002. She went on to work initially in the NHS and then full time in professional sport, including International level Tennis, Rugby, Hockey and Netball. Highlights include attending the 2011 Rugby World Cup as Head Physiotherapist for Georgia, and working at the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics and 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Emma-Jane previously lectured in Physiotherapy at The University of Birmingham for over five years, before relocating to Glasgow and joining GCU in 2012. Her teaching is mainly on the Neuromusculoskeletal modules of the MSc and Doctorate (pre-registration) programme, and is module leader of Neuromusculoskeletal 2. She now splits her time between working here at the University and continuing clinical work in private practice, as well as teaching other CPD courses in Sports Physiotherapy across the country.
