Hannah joined the Department of Psychology at GCU as a part-time lecturer in November 2022 and contributes to teaching the BSc (Hons) Applied Psychology as well as the DPsych Health Psychology programmes.

Hannah is an HCPC registered and BPS Chartered Health Psychologist, qualifying from the Doctorate in Health Psychology programme at Glasgow Caledonian University in 2021. She holds an MSc in Health Psychology from the University of Stirling and a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from Queen Margaret University.

Before joining GCU, Hannah worked for NHS Lothian where she contributed to the development and delivery of home-based rehabilitation programmes for health conditions within cardiology and oncology. Within this role, she led the development of a digital mobile phone application to support patients accessing and engaging with relaxation as a component of their self-management.

Hannah is passionate about workplace well-being, particularly within healthcare settings. Hannah’s doctorate research focused on resilience interventions, mental health, and health behaviours in nursing populations. While employed within NHS Lothian, Hannah was the staff wellbeing lead for the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh where she led on evidence-based interventions to support the physical and psychological wellbeing of staff.

Hannah's research interests include resilience, workplace well-being, digital technology in health, psychological adjustment to illness and self-management of long-term conditions. Hannah maintains her clinical practice within NHS Clinical Health Psychology services and in private practice.
