Hugh is responsible for managing and producing the yearly Visitor Attraction Monitor (VAM) and the monthly Visitor Attraction Barometer (VAB) analysing trends in over 590 participating visitor attractions in Scotland.
As well as the VAM/VAB Hugh is involved in various projects within the Moffat Centre including the Cool Route project.
As well as other visitor attraction research he has a strong knowledge of statistical analysis and several years’ experience of face-to-face and telephone interviews. In addition to his research work, he supports the Moffat Centre in all aspects of administrative management.
Prior to joining the Moffat Centre, he served for 26 years in HM Forces (Army) in various locations throughout the world.
