Dr Lana Ireland is Deputy Head of the Department of Psychology at Glasgow Caledonian, Senior Lecturer in Psychology, and was previously Programme Leader for the BSc (Hons) Applied Psychology degree.

She has teaching and research interests in social, forensic and political psychology. Research has included the UNITING project, which studied barriers and facilitators for immunisations among Traveller and Gypsy groups; the GLASS project, looking at normal drinking patterns among LGBT groups in Scotland; and the SCOTIA project, which involved an investigation into the roles of alcohol in domestic abuse.

Dr Ireland is a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a Senior Fellow with the Higher Education Academy/Advance HE.
