Dr Isaac Nana Akuffo holds a PhD in Management from the University of Tartu, Estonia and he is also a Fellow of the British Advance Higher Education. His PhD thesis focused on “the relationship between authentic leadership competences and nepotism, favouritism, and cronyism – the case of the Ghanaian banking sector”. Isaac also holds an MPhil in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Ghana.
Isaac has over a decade of teaching experience in higher education. He has taught and led many modules at the University of Central Lancashire, the University of Tartu, Estonia and Knutsford University College, Ghana, respectively.
He has also worked as an adjunct lecturer for Shanghai University in China and Estonia Aviation Academy in Estonia. In these four universities, Isaac taught and led modules like Strategic Business Futures, Sustainable Development and Ethics, International Strategic Management, Futures: Leading Change, Innovation Management, Strategic Management, Basics of Innovation, Foundations of Entrepreneurship, Management Skills, Principles of Management and Organisational Behaviour at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He also served on different committees such as the admission and research defence at the University of Tartu, and the DBA research approval committee at the University of Central Lancashire.
Isaac’s research interests are in leadership, strategic and innovation management, sustainability, internationalisation of firms, and work behaviours. Isaac has published and reviewed different ranked journals in the field of business. Isaac is experienced in supervising undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations (master's and Doctorate).
