Nick is a Senior Lecturer in Law in the Department of Economics and Law. Nick teaches mainly in the area of Public Law, Human Rights and Civil Liberties. He also introduces first year LLB students into the study of law and the Scottish legal system. His research reflects this as it references many public law issues including: developments around the Scottish Parliament, Police structures and powers, constitutional legal theory and housing law.
Nick has regularly appeared on radio and TV discussing legal issues in Scottish society. He also is regularly quoted and has written columns for the print and online media including the Herald, the Times, the Scotsman and the Conversation. He has also written on legal research skills for students at all levels.
