Eleanor is currently working towards an MSc in Global Mental Health and Society at the University of Edinburgh. She completed her undergraduate MA in International Relations at the University of Edinburgh in 2022.
Her primary research interests include Mad studies and mental health, the pathologisation of situational emotional distress and its conflation with mental disorders, and the impact of substance use disorders on families and children.
She is particularly interested in how these topics are influenced by poverty, inequality, societal exclusion and trauma.
