Dr Peter Duncan is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Management, Glasgow School for Business and Society.
With experience spanning over two decades, he has taught a range of courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level and has acted as Programme Leader for MSc and doctoral level programmes.
His teaching currently focuses on strategic management, innovation and research methods. He leads the quasi-school-wide Honours level Undergraduate Dissertation module with around 800 students across most departments in the school.
One of the school’s Postgraduate Research Tutors (PGRTs) with particular responsibility for Professional Doctorate/Doctorate of Business Administration (ProfD/DBA) students, he is an experienced doctoral supervisor/examiner and Chair of viva voce examinations.
Dr Duncan holds a PhD relating to the impact of information systems on legal practice in Scotland, an MSc (with Distinction) in Information and Administrative Management as well as an MA (Social Sciences).
He was a co-researcher for the EU-funded Latin American University Research and Doctoral Support (LAURDS) project (2015-2018). He has experience of Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) and Innovation Vouchers.
His research interests relate to strategy and innovation, particularly involving information systems and the contexts of professional services firms (especially legal services), SMEs and rural businesses.
