Samantha is the Associate Dean - Learning, Teaching and Quality.

Samantha has had an extensive career in human resource management and consultancy. Beginning her career within the hospitality sector, she moved into consultancy and HR outsourcing before joining the University in 2002. During her time in HR outsourcing, she was responsible for transition and transformation of client human resourcing activities. Samantha owned her own HR consultancy, where she worked with clients from the private, public, and voluntary sectors.

Within GCU, Samantha teaches at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She has extensive programme management experience at master's and undergraduate level, including leadership of the MSc Human Resource Management and BA (Hons) International Business suite. She is a graduate of the University, achieving distinction in her undergraduate, postgraduate and master's studies in Human Resource Management.

Samantha has a generalist HR background and has developed academic research interests in the areas of resourcing and talent management and in the relationships between organisational policy and work/family conflict. These research interests underpin her current doctoral studies exploring the discourse on working fathers and the potential influence this has on equality of opportunity within the workplace.
