Dr. Viswaprasad Gada was awarded a PhD in Strategic Management from the Indian Institute of Management Indore (a Triple Crown-AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA accredited institute) in India. In his PhD thesis, he explored the role of the CEO’s vigilant nature in adopting risk-mitigation practices in acquisitions by public firms in the United Kingdom.
His research interests include CEO cognition and strategic choices, international business, institutions in emerging markets, and mergers and acquisitions.
His latest previous employment was with IMT Business School Dubai (UAE), and the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Bodh Gaya, India. His work appeared in journals such as the Journal of International Management and Applied Economics.
He has over seven years of teaching experience at PG and UG levels. His teaching interests predominantly include strategic management, international business strategy, global strategy and sustainability, and strategies for emerging markets. Gada has earned a certification in Global Business from Harvard Business School. Furthermore, he is an ad hoc reviewer for the Journal of Business Research, the Journal of International Management, and the Asia Pacific Journal of Management.
Gada received the best paper award for his work presented at the Strategic Management Forum annual conference in 2019 at IIM Lucknow in India. His work was selected for presentations at internationally reputed conferences such as the Annual Conferences of the Academy of Management, Academy of International Business, and Strategic Management Society.
