Typically, the Graduate Apprenticeship takes four years, but it can be shorter depending on experience, training and prior study. This will be assessed when applying for the course.
The course starts with a five-day induction programme. After that, there is a mix of self-directed study, work-based learning, on-campus teaching and live online classes. Two on-campus classes and one online class are scheduled per week during weeks 1 and 8 of each trimester. Typically these weeks fall in the months of September, October, January, March, May and July.
Our course content is expertly curated to prepare you to seek CMI accreditation post-graduation.
Obtaining a CMI accreditation alongside your degree offers numerous advantages that extend beyond traditional academic qualifications. While a degree provides a strong foundation of theoretical knowledge, the CMI accreditation complements this with practical leadership and management skills. This duality reflects the integrated approach of our graduate apprenticeship programmes and reinforces their impact.
CMI's recognition as a globally respected professional body adds credibility to your profile and validates your commitment to continuous professional development. With a CMI accreditation, you gain a competitive edge in the job market, positioning yourself as a highly capable and sought-after candidate for diverse career opportunities. Embracing this dual qualification demonstrates your dedication to excellence, ensuring you are well-prepared to excel in the dynamic and competitive landscape of modern business.
The Chartered Management Institute (CMI) has been playing a significant role in promoting professional management and leadership development for several decades. The institute was founded in the United Kingdom in 1947 as the British Institute of Management (BIM). Over the years, it has evolved and expanded its offerings, becoming a leading professional body for managers and leaders worldwide.
Throughout the years, CMI has continuously updated its programs and qualifications to align with changing business demands and to ensure its accreditations remain relevant and valuable in the contemporary professional world. As a result, CMI accreditations have retained their significance and continue to be highly regarded in the field of management and leadership globally.
Chartered Manager status remains the highest recognised status that can be achieved in the management profession and is exclusively awarded by CMI.
Once you have obtained the Chartered Manager status from CMI, you will be entitled to use "CMgr" after your name as a professional designation. Displaying the "CMgr" designation showcases your ability for higher-level managerial roles. It can support your career progression and increase your chances of being considered for leadership positions.
Assessments consist of course work, projects and assignments. This varied approach complements our combination of academic education and practical work experience, providing a comprehensive opportunity to demonstrate your understanding and application of concepts into your organisation and industry setting.
