Overview

Gain skills for a career using data science and artificial intelligence to find solutions to real-world problems

The ability to draw insight and make decisions from data is critical to healthcare providers, government organisations, social media companies, the financial and education sectors, and the entertainment industry, among others.

The BSc (Hons) AI and Data Science (Graduate Apprenticeship) will equip you with the knowledge and skills required to develop a career that uses societally beneficial data science and artificial intelligence solutions to real-world problems like climate change, financial services, or sustainable development.

Informed by both academic research and industrial interaction feedback, this course will help you to learn how to manage, explore, analyse, understand and visualise image, text, or numerical data and apply these skills to challenges in areas such as autonomous vehicles, financial decision making, health diagnosis, or robotics.

As well as technical skills such as software development and machine learning, you will also develop the creative thinking skills required for a career developing novel solutions to the key societal and environmental challenges affecting the world today.

The Graduate Apprenticeship pathway also has an extended focus on data analysis, probability and statistics, maths for data science and data protection and ethics.  All skills that you can immediately apply to your role in industry as you broaden your knowledge and experience.

Regular events are also organised with previous students and industrial experts to broaden your awareness of industry knowledge and expertise
