Entry and intake
arrow_forward
Entry requirements The entry requirements for the Two Year Masters with professional practice courses are the same as the standard admissions criteria for the corresponding one-year courses.
Unless otherwise specified, this is a minimum 2:2 bachelor's degree with honours, or equivalent.
Each application to GCU is considered on an individual basis. If you do not have the typical academic entry qualifications, but can demonstrate relevant work experience and/or credits from recognised professional bodies, you may be eligible to enter this course via the University's Recognition of Prior Learning scheme.
Undertaking professional practice To undertake the professional practice part of the course, students must normally achieve a minimum of 60% average in their final grade at the end of Year 1 and also must find a suitable work placement.
Students unsuccessful in either can leave with the master's without professional practice award.
English language requirements For details of the English language requirements of the two year master's with professional practice courses, please refer to the IELTS requirements on the individual course pages.
Flexible start dates In addition to the September start, our two year master's with professional practice courses also offer a January intake.
You might find a January start date is more suitable, and you'll still benefit from the same excellence in teaching and research, the same great campus-based or remote-access student support and the same low-cost tuition fee rates as those who begin the course in September.
