Early payment
This award entitles fee-paying students to a discount of 5% if fees are over £5,000 and the fees are paid in full prior to the first teaching date of the course.
Please note an invoice is not a mandatory requirement prior to making a payment in advance.
Conditions of early payment discount
- The University offers the facility to allow students to pay tuition fees in advance prior to registration.
- Payment in full prior to the start date of your course may entitle you to a discount of 5% off the full fee less any scholarship offered by the University. Please note an invoice is not a mandatory requirement prior to making a payment in advance.
- You can calculate what you must pay before the start of teaching. All payments will be made via the applicant/student portal.
- The amount payable with the 5% discount is calculated by taking the full tuition fee amount, subtracting any GCU scholarship, and then subtracting the 5% early payment discount. The amount after this is the remaining amount to pay. For example, an international fee-paying student whose programmes costs £18,900 could have the New to GCU discount of £3000 subtracted from this total, then have a 5% early payment discount of £795.00 subtracted, meaning they would have £15,105 to be paid.
- Deposits cannot be refunded to students who did not meet the entry criteria or were unsuccessful in obtaining a visa. Please see the fees and refund policy.
- Tuition fees are paid in full before the first day of teaching.
- The early payment discount is available for each subsequent year providing tuition fees are paid in full before the first day of teaching each year.
- Discounts are subtracted from the cost of tuition after any scholarship has been applied.
- Distance learning students will only be eligible for the 5% early payment discount if they pay the full cost of the course upfront.
