GCU Foundation Common Good Bursary
Common Good Scholarships provide vital financial support for undergraduate home (Scottish) students who have faced challenges, financially and otherwise, including those who are estranged from family and care experienced.
Supported by donors, including Sir Alex Ferguson CBE, Common Good Scholarships are awarded to candidates with the greatest level of need to help ensure that a university education is available to all talented students.
Common Good Scholarships are open to candidates from across all academic programmes, however there a number of subject specific scholarships including:
- Robert and Jeanne Mairs Charitable Trust – Social Work
- Incorporation of Hammerman – Engineering
Successful scholarship recipients will receive an annual payment of £1500 throughout their four-year undergraduate degree (an overall total of £6000) to help support living costs and receive additional support with graduation costs upon completion of their degree.
Common Good Scholarships are open to new students commencing their first year of study in September 2025.
