Programmable Systems Pre-induction Programme
The Programmable Systems (PS) pre-induction programme is delivered by the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and is for direct entry students with offers into year 3 BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE). The programme is for students with a good grounding in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics but who have not undertaken programming units within their HND.
Other SCEBE offer-holders with an unconditional offer to EEE, who would like to update their programming and study skills, may also take part.
There is no cost to participate in the PS pre-induction programme.
Dates and times
The PS pre-induction programme for 2024 will be delivered over five days between 09 to 13 September from 11am to 4pm (with an hour break for lunch).
How you will learn
Teaching sessions will consist of lab based sessions which students must attend and will be delivered by Electrical and Electronic Engineering staff. Supporting materials will be made available on a virtual learning environment (VLE).
Registration and offers
Our Admissions team will invite all eligible students by email to participate in the PS pre-induction programme, once their results have been officially confirmed by their colleges or the SQA.. It is imperative that students register for the PS programme in order to be able to access online sessions and accompanying resources. Once the registration process has been completed, the School of Computing, Engineering and Built Environment will contact students by email with any additional information.
