The Get Ahead Programme
The Get Ahead Programme allows college students with an offer to study at Glasgow Caledonian the opportunity to explore the key services and support available. This is delivered as one-day, on-campus session, as well as a series of online e-learning modules.
The next Get Ahead programme begins in April 2025. To be eligible to register you must have an offer to study at Glasgow Caledonian University for September 2025. If you are eligible for the programme, you will receive an email from the College Connect team inviting you to register for an on-campus session (students applying for Year 2/Year 3 entry) and/or the online modules (all college applicants). Get Ahead on-campus event 2025
Are you a college student applying for Year 2 or Year 3 entry in Sept 2025? Are you looking to get off to a flying start at Glasgow Caledonian University? If so, then we have an exciting opportunity for you. Join our 'Get Ahead at GCU' event on either the 21 April or 22 May 2025 to be introduced to key university support services. You will also have the chance to hear from staff in these teams who will help you kickstart your student life with us and get you ready to start your studies in September 2025.
During the event, you will meet other offer holders to Glasgow Caledonian. You will have an introduction to the College Connect team and hear from various support services like The Library, The Students' Association, Wellbeing, Study Abroad and Exchange, and Careers.
This session will equip you with the knowledge and confidence to hit the ground running when you join us in September 2025.

Get Ahead online programme 2025
The College Connect team have worked with seven key university support services to complete introductory modules. The themes of these modules can be found below. All college offer holders will be invited to complete these modules and you will receive a prize draw entry for every module you complete.
